My recently-born grandson spent his first four months in NICU, enduring several surgeries, infections, and medications, and fortunately now is doing quite well. I knew then of FollowMe and MiVIA, but only wished I hadn't delayed the creation of the PHR for him. We would have begun with an accurate account of his surgeries, dates, medications, physicians, etc., instead of attempting to recall what went on during those most-upsetting times in our lives. We have all learned that responsible parenting begins with maintaining personal health records on ourselves and our children, and other loved ones. Having accurate medical information at my fingertips will create some peace of mind, and will maximize future health outcomes for us all.
