And another great report about the role of patients in the conference from Ted Eytan at http://www.tedeytan.com/2009/04/27/2987 (and some great comments from those great e-patients who helped make the conference such a great success). Maybe we should call it a “participatory conference” — What do you think e-Patient Dave?

    Josh,

It was not yet fully a participatory conference but I’m quite sure the next one will be :-)

It is quite clear that something has happened over the last few months where suddenly it has become clear that e-patients really know their topic of expertise and shall become equal partners in the dialogue on healthcare reform. That part, unfortunately, has not happened yet.

Gilles, I suppose the IxCenter will be ready to have a fully participatory conference when we have a fully operational Journal of Participatory Medicine. :-)

I know I’m on the Editorial Board so I should know, but when is it going to be launched…and where can we point people to information on it?
